Arctic Blast Will Usher In Stormy Stretch: Here's What's Coming A frigid air mass is headed to the Northeast and will linger for a prolonged stretch, setting the stage for multiple rounds of winter storms. According to AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Meteorologist Paul Pastelok, "Multiple waves of Arctic air are gathering over northern Canada, targeting the central and eastern United States in the weeks ahead." Fairfield County Shop Fails Tobacco Compliance Check, Police Say Authorities shared the results of tobacco compliance inspections at a group of Fairfield County businesses.  Police conducted unannounced compliance inspections at New Canaan businesses that sell tobacco products and/or electronic cigarettes on Wednesday, Aug. 10, according to the New Canaan Police Department.
