According to Seymour Fire Marshal Timothy Willis, when firefighters arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames and an injured resident who had "self-evacuated." The incident happened just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, when New Haven Police and Fire responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Sherman Avenue between Elm Street and Whalley Avenue, in New Haven.
