'We Will Remember': Loved Ones Honor 4 CT Residents Killed In Plane Crash Communities across Connecticut are reeling following the death of four residents in a small airplane crash on Sunday, Sept. 8, as they returned home from a luncheon in Rhode Island.  The victims were:  Paul Pelletier, age 55, of Columbia, in Tolland County Frank Rodriquez, age 88, of Lebanon, in New London County Susan Van Ness, age 51, of Middletown, in Middlesex County Delilah Van Ness, age 15, of Middletown, in Middlesex County Pelletier was an aviation teacher at Middletown High School and Delilah Van Ness was his student. Susan Van Ness was Delilah's mother.  Ori…

McDonald's Offering Free Breakfast Meals For Educators This Week McDonald's is offering free breakfast meals to thank educators across the country this week. The fast-food chain announced that from Monday, Oct. 11, through Friday, Oct. 15, educators can receive their free meal during breakfast hours by showing a valid work ID. Covid-19: Here's When CT Is Expanding Vaccine Eligibility To General Population The COVID-19 vaccine will soon be available to the general population in Connecticut as the state continues vaccinating residents at one of the quickest rates in the country. Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont announced that the state will be continuing with an age-based approach to rolling out the COVID-19 vaccine, including dedicated clinics next month for educators and childcare providers. According to Lamont, age is one of the strongest factors contributing to COVID-19 deaths, with 96 percent of COVID-19 deaths in Connecticut occurring in people over the age of 55.
