Sahvone Valentine, of Hartford, was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 12, for his involvement in the homicide of Abdul-Jalil Humphrey on Friday, July 14, in New Haven County on Hodge Avenue in Ansonia.  The arrest of Valentine was the result of a multi-agency investigation where a second suspect, Jada Artis, age 17 of Ansonia, was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 3, said Lt. Man Found Walking Through CT Neighborhood Allegedly Stabbed Himself, Police Say A man found walking through a Connecticut neighborhood had allegedly stabbed himself. The man was found around 8 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, in New Haven County after the Derby Police Department received a call regarding a man walking on Francis Street with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds to his torso, police said. Due to conflicting stories from the victim, a neighborhood canvas was conducted.   Preliminary evidence suggests the wounds were self-inflicted, police said. An ambulance transported the man to Bridgeport Hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition.

Officers from the Derby Police Department alerted police in Ansonia of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian who was struck at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30 near the intersection of Coe Lane and North Coe Lane. Police said that when officers arrived on scene, they found a 20-year-old woman suffering from upper body injuries that were not consistent with a motor vehicle accident but rather an assault.
