Fans of the Quinnipiac University men's hockey team will soon be gathering en masse to celebrate the team's first-ever stunning overtime win at the 2023 NCAA Division I national championship. A rally will be held by the university at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 10 at the M&T Bank Arena in Hamden at 305 Sherman Ave. and will celebrate the Bobcats' win over the Minnesota Gophers in the national championship game held on Saturday, April 8. 19: Positivity Rate In CT Tops 4 Percent; Breakdown By County, Municipality
Alarm bells are ringing at the state capitol as the daily Connecticut COVID-19 positivity rate jumped to more than 4 percent for the first time since the spread of the virus peaked earlier during the pandemic. Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont said that in the past 24 hours, 13,039 COVID-19 tests were administered, with 538 coming back positive. 19: CT Revises Travel Advisory Guidelines Amid Increase In Cases
Connecticut is revising its travel advisory metrics to determine who has to quarantine upon arrival into the state. Initially, as part of a joint advisory with New York and New Jersey, a state with 10 cases per 100,000 people or a 10 percent positivity rate met the standards for being on the list. Under the new guidance, a state with 10 cases per 100,000 people and a 5 percent positivity rate will be added to the state's travel advisory list.
