Fairfield County Man Nabbed In Connection With Overdose Death, Police Say
Following an investigation that lasted more than a year, a Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs, and faces charges associated with an overdose death.
Rodney Spann, age 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Stamford Police on Wednesday, Oct. 13, on charges of the sale of narcotics and conspiracy to sell narcotics.
The investigation into Spann began in September 2020 after a woman died from an overdose, said Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department.
During an investigation into her death, Spann became the focus, Conklin said.

A lengthy narcotics investigation in Connecticut and Massachusetts concluded when members of law enforcement arrested three individuals, seized 16 firearms, 15,000 packets of heroin, and almost one kilogram of fentanyl.
The investigation focused on Geovanni Saldana, age 28, of Springfield, Massachusetts, as he traveled to Hartford, Connecticut, Massachusetts State Police said.

CT Man Admits To Distributing Heroin, Cocaine
A Connecticut man has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine.
James Lee, age 24, of New Haven, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, Sept. 29, according to Leonard C Boyle, Acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on Wednesday, March 13, New Haven Police approached Lee as he was sitting in a car at a gas station.
The car had fled from police on Monday, March 8. A search of Lee revealed $3,815 and a search of the car turned up another $3,443.

Man, Woman Nabbed With 1,000-Plus Packets Of Heroin In Western Mass Traffic Stop, Police Say
A man and woman were busted for allegedly trafficking drugs following a routine traffic stop in Western Massachusetts that resulted in the discovery of more than 1,000 packets of heroin, according to authorities.
The arrests took place around 12:20 a.m. on Friday, May 7, when Trooper Tyler Hersom was on patrol on Route 91 in Whatley, said the Massachusetts State Police.
