Connecticut State Police are asking the public for help after a woman was hit and killed while standing in the middle of I-84.
The crash took place around midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 3, near Exit 48B, the Capitol Avenue exit in Hartford, state police said.
According to police, Hartford County resident, Mellisa Doyle, age 33, of Manchester, was standing in the eastbound traffic lane when a 2009 Ford Focus SE struck her.

A Maple Avenue drug dealer has been sentenced to 6 years in federal prison on drug and firearm charges.
Francisco “Gordo” Leon, 41, of Hartford was sentenced on Wednesday, Aug. 19, to 72 months in prison and three years of supervised release, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts, said.

Second Brother Arrested For Hartford Parkville Neighborhood Murder
Police made a second arrest connected to a murder in Hartford's Parkville neighborhood earlier this month.
Edwin Franqui, 24, was arrested July 23 at 9:36 a.m. on High Street and charged with two counts of murder, first-degree assault, carrying a pistol without a permit, and the use of a firearm in a crime, police said. His 29-year-old brother has the same first and last name as Franqui. The older brother was arrested on the day of the crime.
