Threat Forces School To Postpone Football Game, Limit Number Of Fans
A Connecticut high school in New London County postponed its football game after administrators learned of a threat of violence being made online, authorities said.
Fitch High School moved its game against Norwich Free Academy from Thursday, Oct. 17, to Friday, Oct. 18, after students at Fitch told the school's resource officer about the threat posted to social media, Groton Police said.

A preliminary list has been released of schools that received items that were part of a nationwide recall of millions of pounds of meat and poultry products over fears they may be contaminated with Listeria.
The initial recall involving the manufacturer, Bruce Pac, was for 9,986,245 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) products sold at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Trader Joe's, 7-Eleven, Aldi, and other stores. It was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Connecticut police say an intoxicated, unlicensed, and uninsured driver collided with an oncoming car, causing a chain-reaction crash, and then running away earlier this week.
