For anyone looking to own a piece of Connecticut history, a 200-year-old home that belonged to a famed Nutmegger recently went up for sale.
The Hiram Rider House, a 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home in Tolland County, is listed for sale at $409,900.
The 2,592-square-foot Willington home at 238 Tolland Turnpike was built in 1820 for Hiram Rider "who served as a judge, county sheriff, town Selectman, state representative, and state treasurer," according to Historic Buildings of Connecticut. A New York YouTuber known for his content around cars was killed in a crash late Wednesday night, Nov. 6, crash, People reported. He was 25 years old.
Andre Beadle was on the Nassau Expressway in Queens around 1:15 a.m. driving east at a "high rate of speed," the magazine said, quoting an NYPD spokesperson.
He lost control of the 2023 BMW and swerved into a metal pole on the right side of the road.

After almost a decade, an indoor bowling alley and entertainment center in Connecticut that doubled as a bar and restaurant has announced its closure.
Crystal Bees, located in the Hartford County town of Southington at 240 Spring St., announced its immediate closure on Tuesday, Nov. 5 in a post on social media and its website.
In its announcement, the business, which consisted of a bowling alley, arcade, music venue, bistro, and bar, attributed its end to "the current economic landscape," which made it hard for it to "continue as a restaurant and entertainment venue."

A 21-year-old Connecticut man was killed in the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 8, in New London County after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, authorities said.
Elijah W. Hummel, of Groton, was found seriously wounded near 33 Fort Hill Road, between Depot Road and South Road, authorities said.
Paramedics rushed him to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
