4 Charged With Selling Pot In CT Smoke Shop Bust Four employees of a Fairfield County smoke shop have been charged with allegedly selling marijuana without a license. The arrests occurred on Thursday, Sept. 5, at the Cream Smoke Shop at 955 Ferry Blvd., in Stratford. According to Capt. Jerry Pinto of the Stratford Police, the department’s Narcotics, Vice, and Intelligence Unit, recently investigated the activities at the shop, which is not licensed to sell or distribute cannabis or THC products. 2 CT Spa Workers Charged With Prostitution Two women in their 60s have been charged with alleged prostitution after a search warrant was executed at a Fairfield County spa. The warrants were served in Stratford at the Garden Spa, 1804 Barnum Ave., on Thursday, Aug. 29. According to Stratford Police Captain Jerry Pinto, the department’s Narcotics, Vice, and Intelligence Unit recently investigated the spa's activities. Beloved Stratford Police Officer, 56, Dies Unexpectedly Police, family, and friends are mourning the loss of a longtime and much beloved Fairfield County police officer who died unexpectedly.  Stratford Officer Ken Kubel, age 56, died earlier this week. He served with the Bridgeport Police Department for 25 years from 1990 to 2015, retiring with the rank of sergeant, said Capt. Stratford Man Accidentally Shoots Wife While Aiming At Stepson During Fight A Fairfield County man was arrested after allegedly shooting his wife while attempting to shoot his stepson during a fight. The incident occurred in Stratford around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, on Bates Street. According to Capt.
