1 Killed, Another Hospitalized In Fiery CT Crash Police are investigating a fatal crash on a Connecticut roadway overnight, It happened around 7:40 p.m. in Fairfield County on Route 58 in Easton. Easton PD Chief Richard Doyle says the department received several 911 calls reporting a serious two-car crash on the roadway south of Center Road. Upon arrival the police officers found one vehicle on fire and the other with serious damage. Severe Storms Lead To Flooding, Water Rescues, Road Washouts Across CT Rounds of severe storms with drenching downpours have closed roads, flooded homes, and destroyed roads across Connecticut. According to the National Weather Service, Monroe was one of the hardest-hit areas, with 9.98 inches of rain on Sunday, Aug. 18.
