Wegmans Sets Opening Date For First CT Supermarket: Here's What To Expect Wegmans Food Markets has set the date for the opening of its first Connecticut supermarket. Wegmans will open its Norwalk location on Wednesday, July 23, the company said in a news release on Monday, Feb. 10. The highly anticipated 92,000-square-foot store at 675 Connecticut Avenue will open at 9 a.m. The store will employ about 500 people, with hiring already underway for part- and full-time positions across all departments.
