HBO Series Rekindles Leads, Helps Solve Yogurt Shop Murder Case Of 4 Teen Girls
DNA has finally given one of the nation's most haunting cold case a name: Robert Eugene Brashers. Police in Austin, Texas, said new DNA analysis identifies Brashers as the suspect in the 1991 slayings of four teenage girls at an I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt! shop, a revelation that arrives more than three decades after the crime and years after earlier prosecutions collapsed. Cold Case: Police Bust Man In 35-Year-Old Rape, Kidnapping Spree Case
A 53-year-old man arrested this week that could be the key to solving a series of kidnappings and rapes that happened in a small Fairfield County town in 1989, authorities announced. David V. Coffey was arrested and charged in connection to the abduction and rape of a woman in Danbury, authorities said. Police added other arrests are pending in the cases. New details are shedding light on the lengths that accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann went to in hopes of getting away with his alleged murder spree. The 60-year-old Long Island resident, of Massapequa Park, was arraigned on two more charges of second-degree murder in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, June 6, in the killings of Jessica Taylor and Sandra Costilla.
