Jamira Perry, 27, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 26, following an extensive investigation into the November crash at Chapel and Temple streets, New Haven police said. A 17-year-old Connecticut boy will spend three years behind bars for fatally stabbing another teen during a fight outside an East Haven elementary school, state officials announced.
Jeter Simmons, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree, was sentenced to eight years in prison, suspended after three years, on Monday, Jan. 15, the New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney’s Office said. He will also serve three years of probation after his release.
