Nine people were arrested and charged with eluding during an illegal car racing event in Newark on Sunday, Sept. 15, authorities said. At 2:31 a.m., police responded to Doremus Avenue and Port Street on a report of several vehicles driving erratically in the middle of the street, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Drunk Wrong-Way Driver Causes Pile-Up On I-95 In CT: Police
A woman who Connecticut Police say caused a five-car pile-up on I-95 earlier this week was intoxicated when she got onto the interstate going the wrong direction. The Fairfield County crash happened just before 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, when New York City resident Jacqueline Remache, age 29, of the Bronx, got onto I-95 in Stamford going the wrong way, authorities said. Although a large, squirrel-sized snail found in a New York park may have looked harmless, it posed enough of a danger to people and the environment that its discovery prompted a police response.
