CT Babysitter Faces Multiple Charges After 2-Year-Old Run Over By Car
A Connecticut woman turned herself in to police after she allegedly ran over an unrestrained 2-year-old who opened a car door and was run over and seriously injured. Middlesex County resident Maria Santiago, age 55, of Clinton, turned herself in on Monday, July 29, on four counts of risk of injury to a minor and failure to apply a child restraint system for the Tuesday, May 14 incident. NY Man ID'd As Tourist Found Dead In Greece
An American tourist recently found dead in Greece has been identified as a Long Island horse trainer. Toby Sheets’ body was found on Sunday, June 16, on a rocky beach on the Greek island of Mathraki, according to CBS News New York. Sheets, 55, was a native of Arkansas and lived in the Nassau County village of Floral Park, where he worked as a horse trainer at Belmont Park. His cause of death is still being investigated. Stamford Man Crushed By Food Truck Dies
A 31-year-old Fairfield County man who was crushed while working on a food truck has died from his injuries. The incident occurred in Stamford around 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, on West Avenue. According to Assistant Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin, officers found Jairon Milian-Milian of Stamford trapped underneath a Chevrolet food truck. Milian-Milian had just dropped the transmission on the truck, which allowed it to roll forward, crushing him, Conklin said.
