2 Dead In I-84 Crash Involving Freightliner, Government-Insured Vehicle: CT State Police Police have released details in a weekend crash on I-84 in Danbury that involved three vehicles including a Freightliner, and left two people dead. A disabled Hyundai in the left lane of the Exit 8 on-ramp was struck by a Lexus, whose driver was from Avon, traveling in the left, westbound lane around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, Connecticut State Police said. Some of the Hyundai's occupants had exited the vehicle, police said. After being struck by the Lexus, the Hyundai spun out into the path of the Freightliner. 1 Dead In Fire At CT Family-Owned Apple Orchard Firefighters found a man dead inside a Connecticut home on Friday morning, Dec. 20, following an early morning fire at a New London County family-owned orchard, authorities said.  The fire was reported shortly before 3:30 a.m. at 20 Kitemaug Road in Montville, and multiple other agencies were soon called to assist in battling the blaze, the Norwich Fire Department reported. Teen Seriously Hurt In Waterbury Car Crash Released From Hospital: Police A 14-year-old who was hit by a car last week in Connecticut has been released from the hospital as he continues to heal from his injuries, authorities said.  A car crashed into the teen in Waterbury on Friday, Sept. 27, just before 7:15 p.m. on Watertown Avenue. According to the National Weather Service, the incidents occurred in New Haven County around 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, on Route 67 in Oxford, which received more than 10 inches of rain. Aaron Pelletier has been announced as the victim of a Thursday, May 30 hit-and-run crash on I-84 in the Hartford County town of Southington, his Connecticut State Police colleagues announced.
