Enfield Farm Worker Killed By Machinery At Work; Osha Investigating A man was killed this week after he was hit by a piece of heavy machinery in Connecticut, authorities said.  The 68-year-old Springfield, Massachusetts, man was at Lindy Farms on Fletcher Road when a skid steer loader backed into him just after 11:15 a.m., Enfield Police said. Authorities believe he was bending over, and the driver could not see him. Freezing Worker Trapped In Trench Collapse Rescued By CT Firefighters Connecticut firefighters rescued a man who was trapped after a trench he was working in collapsed, burying him in dirt up to his thighs, authorities said. Stamford firefighters were called to Hampton Lane just before 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, where they found the man trapped.
