Popular CT Diner Announces It Will Close: 'All Good Things Come To An End'
A popular Connecticut diner that has been a community staple for 75 years will close its doors for good by the end of the month. The Wethersfield Diner announced in a Facebook post that its owners have been unable to secure a new location and will close their restaurant at 718 Silas Deane Highway by the end of January. The Pribyson/Rivera family, who owns the diner, said the restaurant will continue serving its full menu through Friday, Jan. 17. Sally’s Apizza, the iconic New Haven restaurant and bar founded by Salvatore “Sally” Consiglio in 1938, is expanding. The restaurant announced a new shop will open in Hartford County in Wethersfield on Thursday, Aug. 29.
