CT Home Destroyed In 3-Alarm Fire; Crews Forced To Pull Down Roof, Walls, Chimney
A fast-moving fire in Norwalk destroyed a home on Monday, March 24, but, thankfully, no one was injured.
Firefighters were called to 2 Morton St. around 10:50 a.m. to a blaze at the two-and-a-half-story home. The house had items stacked to the ceiling making for an "unusually heavy fire load," crews said.
Firefighters had to bring in an excavator to dismantle portions of the upper roof, walls, and chimneys because they were likely to collapse, Norwalk crews said.
