Convicted CT Felon Nabbed In Shooting 5 Years Later, Police Say A Connecticut convicted felon was charged with a shooting that missed its target but did hit the car he was riding in. The incident occurred in New Haven County on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, in the area of 120 Gravel St., in Meriden. According to Sgt. Michael Boothroyd of the Meriden Police officers responded to a report of shots fired and located a crime scene and determined that an occupied vehicle had been struck by gunfire. CT Child, 8, Struck By Vehicle A child struck by a car in Connecticut escaped without injury. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 8:50 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, on Hall Avenue. According to Sgt. Michale Boothroyd of the Meriden Police, an officer, responded to the area and found an 8-year-old child had been struck but was showing no apparent signs of injury but did complain of pain.
