37-Year-Old Killed On I-95 After Crashing Into Construction Equipment: Police
A 37-year-old man was killed earlier this week after his car went off I-95 north in New London County and slammed into some heavy construction equipment, authorities said.
Paul Bigos, of Dighton, Massachusetts, was killed just after 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, between exits 88 and 89 in Groton, Connecticut State Police said.
Bigos lost control of his Subaru Impreza and drifted into the center median, where he crashed into an unoccupied piece of heavy machinery.
Paramedics rushed him to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries, authorities said. …

Kais Shiman, of Mystic, was one of the four teens in a 2012 Toyota 4Runner that veered off the wrong side of Fishtown Road in Groton around 1:20 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, and collided with a tree near the intersection of Little Gull Lane, authorities said.

Police have identified the man and woman who were killed last week in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Connecticut.
Timothy Montague, age 36, and Lori-Lynn Botero, 34, both of New London, died on Friday night, Sept. 13, when Montague's truck clipped a guardrail at the Exit 87 off-ramp in Groton, struck a tree, and burst into flames, Connecticut State Police said.
They died at the scene. Police did not define Montague and Botero's relationship.

Two people in Connecticut were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Friday night, Sept. 13, after their truck lost control, hit a guardrail, and burst into flames, authorities said.
Police in New Haven County were called to Exit 87 northbound on I-95 in Groton around 9:20 p.m., Connecticut State Police said.
A red Dodge Ram 1500 had gone off the left side of the exit ramp, struck a guardrail, and bounced into a tree, sparking a fire, police said. The driver and passenger were killed in the crash.
