Milton Westley, 45, of Waterbury, surrendered to Connecticut State Police around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, after he allegedly fled a traffic stop in Naugatuck at speeds topping 90 mph in a 55 mph zone, authorities said. Troopers also determined he was driving with a suspended license.

Investigators said they made several attempts to locate Westley following the chase, but he and the BMW he was driving were nowhere to be found.

Westley was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, reckless driving, and engaging police in pursuit, according to Connecticut State Police.

He was held on a $20,000 bond after turning himself in and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court later that day, authorities said.
