A Connecticut man returned to a CVS store wielding a knife after shoplifting, then allegedly set fire to a tent at a homeless encampment during a second violent outburst, authorities said.
Officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 60 Middle St. in Bristol on Tuesday, June 17, around 2:10 p.m. for a report of a disturbance involving a knife, according to a press release from the Bristol Police Department.

Three Americans have been accused of participating in online groups dedicated to creating and distributing videos of extreme violence and sexual abuse against monkeys.

A Bristol man known as “Saint” has been convicted by a federal jury of sex trafficking and related crimes after a trial revealed years of violent abuse against multiple women, federal authorities said.
David Marshall, 40, was found guilty of forcing women into prostitution, using beatings, rape, addiction, and threats to control them, the US Attorney for Connecticut said. One of his victims testified that between January and April 2022, Marshall made her perform sex acts for his financial gain.
