CT Jogger Sexually Assaulted Near Park; Police Searching For Suspect A woman was sexually assaulted Saturday morning while jogging on a trail near Fort Hale Dog Park in New Haven, and police are actively seeking a suspect. Authorities say the incident took place on a trail south of the park, near Townsend Avenue in New Haven, between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. Officers responded to the scene after receiving the report of the assault. Steven Lowell Weinberger, 40, of Avon, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace, police said Tuesday, April 15.  Officers responded to the parking lot of a Mexican restaurant on West Avon Road on March 26 after a Tesla owner reported someone had drawn the Nazi symbol in permanent marker on his white Model Y, Avon police said.
