Police ID CT Man Killed After Crashing Into Utility Pole Authorities say a 31-year-old Connecticut man has died after crashing his car into a utility pole in Bristol. Jonathan Edward Whittle, of Bristol, was driving on Broad Street just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, when he drove off the road and struck the pole, authorities said. It's unclear what caused him to crash. Bristol police were quick to the scene and found an unresponsive Whittle in the wreckage. Santiago Jiminez, of Meriden, was standing on the shoulder of the interstate on Saturday, Oct. 4, near Exit 40, when he stepped into a travel lane, Connecticut State Police said. A 2012 Chevrolet Impala traveling north hit him just after 7 p.m., causing serious injuries. It’s unclear why Jiminez was on the shoulder of the busy highway. Police ID Man Hit, Killed In Crash At Busy CT Intersection Police have identified the man who was hit at a busy West Hartford intersection.  Stephen Mendelsohn, 63, of New Britain, was struck and killed around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and South Main Street, authorities said.  Paramedics attempted CPR at the scene, but they were unable to save his life.  The driver remained at the crash site and is cooperating with police.  West Hartford police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to contact investigators at 860-523-5203.

Man Jumps To Death From Parking Garage At Boston Medical Center: Police Police are investigating after a man jumped to his death from the parking garage used by the Boston Medical Center and Boston University Medical Campus on Wednesday morning, May 28.  Boston police received a report of a jumper around 8:45 a.m. at 710 Albany Street, which is listed as the visitor and patient parking garage. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.  Authorities have not identified the man, and the incident is under investigation by district detectives, Boston police said.  The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is next to that parking garage.
