2-Year-Old CT Boy Dies After Choking At YWCA Daycare A 2-year-old boy has died following what a Connecticut mayor described as a “tragic accident,” after he choked on food at a YWCA daycare. Administrators at New Britain YWCA called 911 around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, for reports of a toddler choking. New Britain police, firefighters, and EMS responded to the call, a city spokesperson said.  New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart identified the boy as Saunit and his mother as Shamyra Cooke. CT Daycare Worker Accused Of Endangering Toddler After Parents Allege Mistreatment: Police An employee of a Connecticut daycare and preschool is charged with risking the well-being of a 2-year-old child under her care after the child's parents said they saw her mistreat their child on a video, police said.  Fairfield County resident Brittany Lindao, age 23, of Greenwich, faces three charges of risk of injury to a child following her arrest on Saturday, Sept. 14, Greenwich Police said. She was being held on a $100,000 bond, authorities added.
