A Bimmer For $500? Impounded Rides Take Center Stage At Upcoming Long Island Police Auction
From the impound lot to your driveway–no badge needed.
Whether they were towed for unpaid tickets, seized during arrests, or simply abandoned, dozens of cars, SUVs, pickups, and even a few luxury rides are up for grabs at the next Suffolk County Police impound auction.
The bidding kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 7 – rain or shine – at the department’s Westhampton facility, located at 100 Old Country Road. Bids start at $500.
About 85 lots are up for grabs, including sedans, SUVs, and the occasional surprise (hello, Porsche Cayenne). Cars are sold as-is.

A Pomfret, Connecticut, woman allegedly tried to run over three children with her car in a disturbing Memorial Day incident, authorities said.
Christine Putney, 64, of Pomfret, was arrested on Monday, May 26, and charged with criminal trespass, reckless endangerment, three counts of risk of injury to a minor, breach of peace, and making a physical threat, Connecticut State Police said.

LJ Koch of West Milford, is trying to make history this summer — behind the wheel of a Corvette-powered fajita truck that just hit 126 mph at Pocono Raceway.
Nicknamed The Vettro, the one-of-a-kind ride is part 1952 International Metro Van, part 2021 Corvette Stingray, and fully fueled by Jersey creativity.
