Despite their age, the ordnance still posed a serious threat after exposure from the eroding dune. 'Apparent Pipe Bomb' Found In CT Apartment Building Forces Evacuation Police evacuated a Connecticut apartment building after finding an "apparent pipe bomb" inside a recently vacated unit, authorities said.  Officers were called to 127 Wyllys St. in the Dutch Point area of Hartford just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, after someone found the device.  The Hartford Police Bomb Squad responded and destroyed the device.  Authorities said the evacuation was a precautionary measure.
