13-Year-Old CT Boy Hospitalized After Car Vs Bike Crash A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized with serious injuries after a vehicle struck him while he was riding his bicycle, authorities said. He is expected to survive.  The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. on Bishop Street in Waterbury when the teenager was hit by a car. Paramedics rushed the boy to a nearby hospital, where he was being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Waterbury police. Teen Sentenced In Fatal Stabbing Of 15-Year-Old Outside CT Elementary School: State A 17-year-old Connecticut boy will spend three years behind bars for fatally stabbing another teen during a fight outside an East Haven elementary school, state officials announced. Jeter Simmons, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree, was sentenced to eight years in prison, suspended after three years, on Monday, Jan. 15, the New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney’s Office said.
