The XL Center has officially been renamed as PeoplesBank Arena. The rebranding was announced by Gov. Ned Lamont, Oak View Group, and the Capital Region Development Authority at a news conference on Monday, June 2. The naming rights had been held since 2007 by Axa XL, a global insurance company headquartered in Stamford.
