A 9-year-old girl lost much of her right hand after being attacked by a shark on a Florida beach. The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon, June 11, off the coast of Boca Grande on Florida's Gulf Coast. The identities have been released for five family members who were killed in a murder-suicide in a residential Long Island community. The incident happened just before noon on Sunday, Aug. 25 at a residence on a cul-de-sac in Syosset. Shortly after Debby made landfall along Florida's west coast as a Category 1 hurricane earlier this month, it produced something no forecaster — or anyone else — could have predicted.
