Perfect Paycheck: Survey Reveals Salary Americans Say Would Make Them Happy
How much money does it take to feel financially content? A new national survey suggests Americans have a specific number in mind, and it comes with strings attached. The Talker Research survey, conducted for SurePayroll by Paychex, asked 2,000 adults what they would consider the perfect salary. Respondents pointed to an average figure of $74,000, though nearly one in five said nothing less than six figures would cover their lifestyle. Even so, half of those surveyed said their current pay is not enough to support their needs, and one in four admitted they are unhappy with their incom…

Grocery Bills Causing Major Stress For Most Americans As Food Costs Rise: Poll

More than half (53%) said supermarket prices were a major stressor, while just 14% said that groceries aren't a source of stress. Pollsters also found that two-thirds of households earning under $30,…

CVS To Lay Off Nearly 3K Workers
CVS announced it will lay off nearly 3,000 workers as part of a cost-cutting move aimed at saving $2 billion. These approximately 2,900 layoffs, primarily in corporate roles in the company's CVS Health division, represent less than 1 percent of the company's workforce, CVS said. "The reductions will not impact front-line jobs in our stores, pharmacies and distribution centers,” a CVS spokesperson told CNN. The move comes a day after CVS management met with major shareholder Glenview Capital to discuss the company’s deficits and its dipping stock price, according to CNBC. Founded in…
