Major Winter Storm Triggers Thousands Of Flight Delays, Cancellations A powerful winter storm sweeping into the Northeast has thrown air travel into chaos, forcing airlines to cancel more than 1,300 flights and delay over 4,200 flights by early afternoon Friday, Dec. 26. The hardest-hit airports are in the New York tristate area, where heavy snow is forecast to reach up to 10 inches in some locations. John F. Teen Charged In 'Preventable' Crash That Sent 2 CT State Troopers To Hospital: Cops A Connecticut teenager has been arrested after allegedly losing control of his car on I-91 and crashing into two state troopers, sending both to the hospital, authorities said. Joel Caiza, 18, of Waterbury, was charged with reckless driving, traveling too fast for road conditions, failure to maintain lane, and operating a motor vehicle without a license, Connecticut State Police announced Friday, July 11.
