A Longmeadow garage over the weekend escalated when a propane tank inside exploded, burning cars and causing problems for firefighters. The blaze on Dunn Road began around 8:30 p.m., the Longmeadow Fire Department said. When firefighters arrived, the entire home's garage was engulfed. An online puppy purchase went wrong for a Warren County resident who ended up losing nearly $5,000 in a scam, police said. The victim saw an online ad for a Golden Retriever puppy and provided $300 as a deposit over Zelle after contacting the owner, Hackettstown Police said in a Wednesday press release. The victim was then given a tracking number for Blue Sky delivery service and told that the puppy was on its way, police said. Dog Rescued From Partially Frozen Long Island Pond
A dog was rescued after it fell into a partially frozen Long Island pond. The incident occurred on Sunday, Feb. 7 at around 9 a.m. in Hewlett, at Grant Park, located at 1625 Broadway. Responding Nassau County Police officers located the dog’s owner and were able to locate the golden retriever, Lucky, who was struggling to stay afloat.
