Firefighter Injured Battling Blaze At Popular CT Seafood Restaurant
An early-morning fire sent one firefighter to the hospital and caused significant damage to a popular Connecticut seafood restaurant. The blaze at Saybrook Fish House in Rocky Hill was first reported at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, according to firefighters. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the back of the building at 2165 Silas Deane Highway. The fire was traced to a utility room, officials said. School Bus Catches Fire In Bridgeport
All people aboard a Fairfield County school bus were able to get off safely when the vehicle caught fire. The fire occurred in Bridgeport around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, at Jones Avenue and Oak Street. According to Tiadora Josef, the Bridgeport Fire Department spokeswoman, the first responding units confirmed the bus was engulfed in flames. "Everyone was off the bus when units responded," she said.
