Motorcyclist Killed In High-Speed I-95 Crash With SUV In CT
A 28-year-old man was killed after crashing his motorcycle into an SUV while speeding on I-95, police said.
Joseph R. Baez, of Providence, Rhode Island, was killed around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, when his BMW motorcycle slammed into a Subaru Crosstrek near Exit 60 south in Madison, Connecticut State Police said.
Investigators said Baez was riding at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash. His motorcycle also lacked a license plate.
Paramedics rushed Baez to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died of his injuries, police said.

A 42-year-old Connecticut man has died in an apparent drowning off Florida’s coast, along with a 34-year-old Ohio woman, authorities said.
Brevard County, Florida, first responders were called to Cocoa Beach at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, after four people — including a child — were caught in a rip current.
Paramedics transported the unidentified Connecticut man and the Ohio woman to Cape Canaveral Hospital, where they died, officials said.

CT Man, 75, Dies Dies After Car Crash In East Hampton Parking Lot
Police have identified the 75-year-old Connecticut man who was hit and killed by a car in an East Hampton parking lot.
James Bansemer, 75, of Colchester, was struck Friday, April 3, in the Napa Auto Parts lot on East High Street, according to East Hampton police.
First responders were called to the scene just before 3 p.m. Bansemer had serious injuries and no pulse when crews arrived. LifeStar was called in.
Bansemer was flown to Marlborough Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries, police said.
