Thieves Hit CT Jewelry Store As Police Probe Possible Link To Weekend Smash-Grab Heist Police are investigating a smash-and-grab theft at a jewelry store in Bristol. A heist very similar to another that was reported two days earlier.  The break-in happened Monday evening, Jan. 19, at Kay Jewelers on Farmington Avenue, Bristol police said. Two masked suspects entered the store and used a hammer to break open a display case. The suspects grabbed jewelry from the cases and ran from the store. Police said they were still determining the value of the stolen items.  A similar smash-and-grab heist happened at the Connecticut Post Mall on Saturday.  Police have not …

Man Shoplifts From CT Mall, Leads Officers On Chase While Pretending To Have Gun: Police A 36-year-old man faces a long list of charges after shoplifting from a Connecticut mall, threatening security with what appeared to be a gun, and leading officers on a chase that ended in a residential garage, police announced.  On Wednesday, July 3, just before 5 p.m., security at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford reported to the police that a suspect had threatened them.
