A CVS employee was killed after being stabbed inside a New York store on Christmas night, police announced on Friday, Dec. 26. The deadly stabbing unfolded inside the CVS at 20 East Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst, where officers were called after a 911 report just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, according to the Suffolk County Police. Holiday spending is climbing in 2025, but the divide between higher-income and lower-income shoppers is growing as many families face rising prices and tighter budgets.
