'Rarely Without A Smile': Navy Sailor Killed In CT Crash Remembered For His Faith, Friendship A 21-year-old man who was killed while riding his motorcycle in New London County last week is being remembered for the bright future he lost and the love he shared with his friends and family.  Elijah W. Hummel, of Groton, was found seriously wounded on Friday, Nov. 8, after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into an unoccupied, parked car in front of Midway Pizza, police said.  He later died of his injuries at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.
