Police arrested a man and a woman after they led officers on a high-speed chase across multiple Connecticut cities and towns following a violent carjacking that ended in a crash, authorities said.
Adrianna Carrasquillo, 20, and Juwan Butler, 28, both of Waterbury face multiple charges from the Sunday, June 8, incident, police said.
It all started when an armed assailant approached a man sitting in his car near Pine and Bishop Streets in Waterbury around 5:45 p.m. They demanded he get out of the vehicle before they stole the car and sped away, police said.

A Connecticut teenager is facing multiple serious charges after police say he sped through a crash scene, nearly hitting a trooper, before leading law enforcement on a dangerous chase.
Matthew Wall, 18, of Coventry, was arrested Thursday evening, June 5, and charged with multiple felonies, Connecticut State Police said.

130 MPH: East Hartford Teen Tries To Vanish In High-Speed Chase, Fails, Cops Say
A teenager accused of reaching 130 miles per hour during a high-speed chase, driving without headlights at night, and using a "vanishing license plate" was arrested this week near his home, authorities said.
Kelvin Cao, 19, of East Hartford, faces several charges stemming from the chase in Berlin, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Police said they attempted to stop Cao on Route 9 in March, but he refused to pull over. Troopers say Cao made “several unsafe passing maneuvers around other traffic” and even “shut their lights off in the dark" to avoid capture.
