Guns, Drugs, Explosives: Suspicious Package From China Sparks Raid Of CT Felon's Home
A suspicious package flagged at John F. Kennedy International Airport led police to the home of a Connecticut felon, where they found dozens of guns, thousands of rounds of ammunition, explosive material, and drugs, authorities said.
Alexander Oranzo, 46, was arrested after federal agents found a firearm suppressor, also known as a silencer, in a package from China bound for his North Main Street home in Branford on April 21, police said. It had been labeled as a fuel filter.
Police tracked the package and arrested Oranzo after he accepted it.
