Connecticut firefighters rescued a man who was trapped after a trench he was working in collapsed, burying him in dirt up to his thighs, authorities said. Stamford firefighters were called to Hampton Lane just before 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, where they found the man trapped. He was alert and conscious when they arrived. A man suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday, Dec. 7, after leaping from a window to escape a fire in a Stamford multi-family building. The dramatic scene unfolded at 5:15 a.m. when firefighters were dispatched to the blaze at 17 Clinton Ave., authorities said. Man Who Hit Woman With His Car To Play Out Rape Fantasy Admits To Attempted Murder: DA
A Connecticut man who intentionally crashed his car into a woman and attempted to drown her as part of a rape and kidnapping fantasy admitted this week to multiple felonies related to the attack, authorities announced. Driver Jumps Out Of Passing Car To Help Resident Who Escaped From CT House Fire
A Connecticut resident received heavy burns to his head and face while escaping from his burning home. The incident occurred in New Haven County on Lynn Terrace around 6 p.m., Thursday, in Seymour. According to Seymour Fire Marshal Timothy Willis, when firefighters arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames and an injured resident who had "self-evacuated." 4 Rescued From Long Island Sound In Norwalk During Height Of Severe Storm
Four people who were not wearing life jackets were rescued from the waters of the Long Island Sound in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Norwalk on Saturday, Aug. 3. According to members of the Norwalk Police Department's Marine Unit, the rescue took place during a large thunderstorm on Aug. 3 after the men's boat capsized.
