A man was killed this week after he was hit by a piece of heavy machinery in Connecticut, authorities said. The 68-year-old Springfield, Massachusetts, man was at Lindy Farms on Fletcher Road when a skid steer loader backed into him just after 11:15 a.m., Enfield Police said. Authorities believe he was bending over, and the driver could not see him. The man's name was not released. The man worked at the farm, but in what capacity is unclear. Freezing Worker Trapped In Trench Collapse Rescued By CT Firefighters
Connecticut firefighters rescued a man who was trapped after a trench he was working in collapsed, burying him in dirt up to his thighs, authorities said. Stamford firefighters were called to Hampton Lane just before 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, where they found the man trapped. He was alert and conscious when they arrived. A missing Fairfield County man was found dead in a wooded area during a search by police. The incident occurred in New Canaan shortly after 12 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9. According to Lt.
