Manchester Man Hit Friend With Car After Stealing From Their Home: Police A Connecticut man is facing multiple charges after police said he robbed a friend and struck them with his car during an attempted escape. Donovan Rice, 25, of Manchester, was arrested Thursday evening, Feb. 13, in Somers after a homeowner called 911 to report he had visited their home earlier that day and tried to steal items worth about $300, Connecticut State Police said. The homeowner noticed Rice's pockets bulging as he left the house around 5 p.m. When confronted, Rice got into his car and put it in reverse, police said. CT Man Killed In Rollover Crash In ID'd As 32-Year-Old A 32-year-old Connecticut man was killed this week in a rollover crash after leaving the road, authorities said.  Paul Bowler, of Stafford Springs, died on Thursday, Jan. 16, when his car went off of Main Street in Somers around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, Connecticut State Police said.  Bowler's car veered off the road, hit a mailbox, an embankment, and a tree before coming to a rest of its roof. The Tolland County incident occurred on Tuesday, June 4 in the town of Somers. According to police, a search warrant was executed for 53-year-old Randy Matthew Guyette’s Hall Hill Road home.
