A Meriden man will spend more than a decade behind bars for a violent attack that left a woman with life-threatening injuries, after he beat her in the head repeatedly with a baseball bat, authorities said. An alleged kidnapping of two people in Fairfield County led to six arrests and three injured officers. The incident occurred in Danbury at 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, in the area of Clapboard Ridge Road near Dogwood Lane.
