Suicidal CT Man Who Wanted Police To 'Kill Him,' Injures Officers During Arrest, Cops Say A Connecticut man who was allegedly suicidal and wanted to be killed by police was taken into custody after fighting and injuring several officers. The incident occurred in New Haven County in Hamden on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Hamden Plaza. According to Lt. Raymond Quinn of the Hamden Police, the department received word that the East Haven Police were trying to locate and arrest Derrick Gilliam, age 29, of New Haven. 59-Year-Old Man Killed In Single-Vehicle CT Crash A 59-year-old Connecticut man was killed after police say he lost control of his car. The incident occurred in New Haven at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Monday, July 15, on I-91 southbound in the area of Exit 2.
