A Fairfield County man has been charged with assault and risk of injury to a child after he was seen on video biting, licking, and hitting a young boy on a school bus.
Juan Carlos Rodriguez, age 27, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, June 17, by Darien Police for the incident that occurred in April on a school bus.

22-Year-Old Killed In Fiery 2-Vehicle CT Crash, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was killed during a two-vehicle crash that caused one vehicle to burst into flames.
It took place in Trumbull around 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15 in the area of the Monroe Turnpike.
According to Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police Department, the crash occurred when an Infiniti collided with a Subaru Crosstrek on the Monroe Turnpike near the intersection of Monroe Turnpike, or Route 111, and Technology Drive.
Xavier Miller, age 22, of Bridgeport, the driver of the Infiniti, was killed, Weir said.

Wife Of CT Man Killed In Crash Dies From Injuries
The wife of a Fairfield County man killed in a single-vehicle crash has died from her injuries.
Noelli Escarraga, age 69, and his wife, Maria Escarraga, age 62, both of Bridgeport were the only occupants in the vehicle, and have been identified as the two victims killed in the accident, said Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police Department.

Man Sentenced After Selling Fentanyl Involved In Overdose Death, Feds Say
A Fairfield County man has been sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison for selling fentanyl to a man who later died from an overdose.
John Matthews, also known as “Jay” and “Gotti,” age 36, of Bridgeport, was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 30 to prison time in addition to three years of supervised release, said Leonard C Boyle, Acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, a 35-year-old man in Trumbull died of a drug overdose.
