Fatal Crash: Woman ID'd After Rush-Hour Incident On Busy CT Road Authorities are investigating the circumstances of a crash on a busy Connecticut roadway that left a woman dead.  The incident happened in New Haven County on Thursday, Dec. 21 just before 5:30 p.m., when a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Waterbury in the area of 1610 Watertown Ave. (Route 73) while walking in the roadway, according to Waterbury Police.  Responding officers found the woman with serious injuries and took her to Waterbury Hospital where she later died. Person Struck By Car At Busy CT Intersection A pedestrian was hit by a car in Fairfield County during the early-morning hours. The crash took place around 6:45 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 29 on Atlantic and Henry streets in Stamford, police said. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Stamford Police said. The area was closed for an investigation but reopened a short time later. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
