Woman, 59, Hit, Killed Walking Near CT Cemetery Police in Fairfield County are investigating after a 59-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking near a cemetery.  The incident occurred in Norwalk around 9:20 a.m., Friday, June 21, at 81 Riverside Ave. (Riverside Cemetery). According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, officers responded to the area following a 911 call of an accident with injuries in which a pedestrian was struck. 27-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle CT Crash A 27-year-old Connecticut man died after failing to negotiate a right curve and striking a metal guardrail on Route 148. The crash occurred in Middlesex County just before 1:20 a.m., Thursday, June 20, near the Cedar Lake Road intersection in Chester. According to the Connecticut State Police, Sean Francis Guiheen of Killingworth was heading west on Route 148 on a 2007 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a right curve in the road and veered into the eastbound lane and struck a metal guardrail. It happened just before 11:10 p.m. Friday, June 7, in Stamford at 100 Bridge St. in Scalzi Park, An initial investigation revealed that Oscar Chinchilla-Najarro, a 23-year-old Stamford resident, was operating a 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike in the park. While traveling around the outer roadway of the park, Chinchilla-Najarro lost control of the motorcycle, mounted the curb, and crashed along the guardrail on the east side of the park, according to Sgt. New Haven County resident Michael Arthur Miller, of East Haven, died around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, in Oxford. According to the Connecticut State Police, Miller was riding his Harley-Davidson FLHT Classic eastbound on Silano Drive when he entered the Route 188 intersection and was hit by a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck traveling southbound. CT Man, 21, Killed After Hitting Concrete Sign Support, State Police Say A 21-year-old Connecticut man was killed after hitting a concrete sign support. The crash occurred in Hartford County at 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 on Route 9 in New Britain. According to the Connecticut State Police, New Haven resident Anthony Montminy, age 21, was traveling south of exit 37 in an Infiniti Q50 in the center lane of three when for an unknown reason, he veered across the left lane, into the left shoulder and entered the grassy median.  The Infiniti then collided with a concrete sign support and came to a final rest within the grassy median, police said. Fatal Crash: 37-Year-Old CT Man ID'd As Victim After Vehicle Goes Down Embankment One person was killed in a crash at a busy intersection in Fairfield County. It happened around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Grist Mill Road and the Route 7 connector in Norwalk. After being sent to the scene, emergency responders found a vehicle in the embankment, according to Norwalk Police. The operator of the vehicle, identified as New Haven County resident Joshua Chapman, age 37, of Naugatuck, was extricated and pronounced dead by Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Services.
